Our client is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join their law firm. This role focuses on supporting the firm's immigration practice by preparing, filing, and monitoring various immigration applications and petitions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employment-based immigration processes and a strong ability to manage case files efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and file immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions, labor certification cases, and adjustment of status applications
Analyze and compile case details and supporting documents to draft comprehensive reports and immigration materials
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring deadlines are tracked and inquiries are addressed promptly
Collaborate with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, and government agencies to facilitate effective communication
Draft immigration-related correspondence, including support letters and key documentation, for attorney review
Assist attorneys by providing guidance to support staff and contributing to the development of streamlined workflows
Monitor case progress and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
Deliver exceptional client service through thorough and proactive case management
Take on additional tasks as required to support the firm's operational goals
Requirements:
2+ years of experience working in immigration law or employment-based immigration cases
Strong understanding of immigrant and non-immigrant visa processes, including eligibility to work in the U.S., L1, E2, TN, I-140, and I-485
Proficiency in handling labor certification cases and filing petitions with relevant government agencies
Familiarity with immigration case management systems like LawLogix
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and case files
Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting correspondence and interacting with clients
Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, staff, and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
