Job Description:

Medway Council is seeking a proactive Panel Inclusion Officer to support our Education & SEND team. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to play a key role in ensuring fair access, supporting schools and families, and contributing to the smooth running of our panels and processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in administering Fair Access Panels, Exclusion Panels, and Attendance Pre-Court Panels
  • Liaise with schools and families on admissions matters and respond to enquiries within agreed timescales
  • Support the recording and issuing of Penalty Notices, working alongside the Penalty Notice & Child Employment Coordinator
  • Collate documentation for legal processes relating to exclusion, suspension, and attendance
  • Process, maintain, and monitor departmental data and records, identifying anomalies and escalating as required
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with departmental policies, producing statistics to support effective management
  • Provide additional administration support to the wider Inclusion Team as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in education administration, preferably in inclusion or SEND
  • Strong communication skills with schools, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to manage data and record-keeping with high accuracy
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
