We are looking for an experienced PAM Engineer to lead the development and maturity of a privileged access management program in Piscataway, New Jersey. This role will guide the design, deployment, and ongoing improvement of secure access controls that protect critical systems and sensitive data across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise with CyberArk and related identity security technologies, along with the ability to collaborate across security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
Job Responsibility
Lead the architecture, implementation, and operational support of the organization’s privileged access management environment, with a strong focus on CyberArk solutions
Partner with security, identity management, and IT operations teams to define PAM priorities and align technical delivery with business and security objectives
Develop rollout plans, use cases, and enhancement roadmaps to expand PAM capabilities in line with industry standards and organizational needs
Serve as the primary technical advisor for privileged access management, providing guidance on solution design, governance, and best practices
Configure, administer, and troubleshoot core PAM components such as password vaulting, web access, policy management, session management, and threat analytics tools
Create and deliver training materials for internal technology teams to strengthen adoption, administration, and ongoing support of PAM platforms
Work closely with implementation partners and internal stakeholders during initial deployment phases to ensure a successful launch and knowledge transfer
Evaluate security requirements and operational risks to recommend improvements that strengthen access controls and protect critical infrastructure
Support cross-platform privileged account security across Windows environments and other enterprise operating systems as needed
Requirements
At least 5 years of IT experience, including 3+ years working directly with privileged access management technologies, preferably CyberArk
Strong working knowledge of CyberArk modules, including Enterprise Password Vault, Password Vault Web Access, Central Policy Manager, Privileged Session Manager, and related components
Experience administering and securing Windows desktops and servers, with exposure to additional enterprise platforms such as Solaris or similar systems
Solid background in identity and access management concepts and tools, including directory services and enterprise authentication environments
Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, configuration management, and access control frameworks
Ability to work independently, manage technical priorities, and deliver results with limited supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
