Painter

• Prepare surfaces for painting including scraping, sanding, filling and priming interior and refurbishment projects
• Apply paint, varnish, stain and other finishes to surfaces such as walls, ceilings and joinery in residential, commercial and strata environments
• Select, mix and match paint colours and finishes, ensuring consistency and alignment with client briefs and our project standards
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, protect adjacent surfaces, and ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with site requirements
• Interpret job specifications and plans to determine painting requirements, scheduling and site coordination within Top2Projects’ multi‑skilled team
• Assist with coordination of subcontractors or trades (e.g., joinery, tiling) on the job site and ensure painting work aligns with overall project timelines
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure surfaces are clean, smooth and correctly finished
• rectify any defects or touch‑up work as needed
• Maintain appropriate inventory of paints, coatings and materials
• report usage, order replacements and manage wastage in company projects

• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Painter
• Ability to interpret and follow job specifications, plans and instructions
• Proficient in using manual painting tools and equipment, and knowledge of different coating types
• Strong attention to detail, colour matching and surface preparation techniques
• Good communication skills, ability to work within a multi‑trade team and deliver on time
