Job Responsibility

Interpret job specifications, drawings, and client instructions to determine surface conditions and scope of work
Prepare various interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and removing existing coatings
Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, platforms, and protective materials to ensure a clean and safe workspace
Mix and apply paints, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve the required finish
Assess and recommend suitable paint types, colours, and finishes according to client requirements and environmental factors
Use a range of painting techniques to produce smooth and precise finishes on walls, ceilings, trims, and other surfaces
Maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring proper care, storage, and readiness for use
Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and uphold quality standards
Undertake both residential and commercial painting projects across Canberra and surrounding regions

Job Responsibility

Paint Industrial Signage: Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to various industrial signage materials, including metal, plastic, and composite surfaces, ensuring an even and smooth finish
Set Up Equipment: Prepare and operate spray guns, airbrushes, and other painting equipment to meet production requirements
Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for defects, ensuring the finished product meets quality standards. Rework or touch up signage as needed
Read Blueprints and Specifications: Interpret design specifications and drawings to determine the correct colors, finishes, and techniques for each signage project
Maintain Equipment and Tools: Regularly clean and maintain painting tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Ensure Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper handling of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials
Inventory Management: Monitor paint and material inventory, notifying management of any shortages or supply needs
Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other painters, production staff, and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient project completion
