Apply paints and various coatings to all types of surfaces. Detach and reattach wall mounted pictures, equipment and devices. In general, the work of the maintenance painter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Job Responsibility:
Improves and maintains the overall interior appearance by painting and redecorating walls, woodwork and fixtures
Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices, applies paint with a spray gun or brush
May mix colors, oils and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency
Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of the work areas including the workshop
Assists others as part of the maintenance team to perform other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.
Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess a broad knowledge of facility operations and maintenance
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions
Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire
