Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our Maintenance team in this new hotel. This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic quality and overall condition of the property, ensuring all guest and back-of-house areas reflect the high standards of the Miiro brand. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a dynamic hospitality environment, we would love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and fixtures
  • Carry out regular inspections to identify areas requiring touch-ups or repainting
  • Ensure all painting work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail and consistency
  • Maintain and care for painting tools, equipment, and materials
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance team and other departments to schedule work with minimal disruption to guests
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of materials
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks when required
  • Keep accurate records of completed work and report any maintenance issues observed

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a painter, preferably within hospitality or a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to maintenance work
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends if required
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
