Job Description:

Edwards Collison Center & Body Shop in Council Bluffs, IA is looking for a full-time Paint Tech to join our team. The Paint tech will be a full-time production painter working in a fast paced environment with an endless stream of work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Full-time Production Painter
  • Applying paint using guns and other equipment
  • Apply protective layers and finishes
  • Repair & Refinish panels with rock chips, scratches, small dents, painting imperfections, and buffing
  • Work closely with managers and other techs to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Prepare vehicles for painting
  • Ensure colors match to specifications
  • Sanding & Buffing using power tools and hand tools
  • Prepare booth and paint for specific vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous auto body painting experience is required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time efficiency is a must
  • Reliable work history
  • Have a valid driver's license

  • Responsible for reviewing the job applicable contract cleaning and painting specifications
  • Responsible for cleaning and painting of all fabricated material
  • Ensures proper testing procedures are used in compliance with contract specifications and maintains accurate records in accordance with AISC standards
  • Prepares fabricated products for shipment
  • Orders job applicable paint and supplies
  • Responsible for ensuring the adherence to all company safety and OSHA regulations
