An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing business based in Bury St Edmunds Our client is happy to consider candidates seeking temporary or permanent positions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Using functional gauges to measure paint thickness
  • Inspecting products for defects and dents, carrying out filling and finishing to achieve the highest standards
  • Loading and unloading products onto conveyor lines, benches, or trolleys
  • Carrying out quality assurance (QA) checks
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings
  • Maintaining accurate production records
  • Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in paint spraying
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Willingness to carry out general production duties

  • Performing measurements both in a high-standard laboratory and on the shop floor

  • Contributing to the execution of quality management tasks as part of a 12-person team
  • Planning and carrying out measurement routines using various measurement systems and concepts, in collaboration with the product methodology specialist
  • Preparing and performing geometrical analyses on products and production tools using CAx technologies and coordinate measuring equipment (e.g., CMM, GOM, Laser Tracker)
  • Assisting in analyzing geometrical quality issues related to products, body-in-white assemblies, pressed parts, and production tools
