Job Description:

The Berwick Paint Department Manager at Ace Hardware is a crucial role responsible for the day-to-day operations. As a highly skilled and dynamic leader, you will maximize sales, optimize stock levels, and ensure exceptional customer service. Join our team and contribute to the growth and development of both the management team and store associates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create attractive displays, order products, and assist customers with their purchases
  • Develop Paint Department staff, set goals for growth, and provide ongoing feedback
  • Utilize inventory reports to maintain stock levels and maximize accuracy
  • Promote Customer Service as the top priority and lead by example
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe store environment

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in retail or customer service
  • Valid in-state driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Availability to work weekends and night shifts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead associates fairly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Technically skilled in basic retail computer systems
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Handle boxes of merchandise and perform all functions as required

Nice to have:

Preferred experience in commercial and homeowner paint sales
