The Microsoft Global Media Team is responsible for planning, activating and fiscally managing all media spend across Microsoft. The team works across a broad group of internal Microsoft products and business groups, driving business impact by leading the development of innovative and world-class media strategies designed to meet our stakeholders’ unique business goals. The team’s responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft’s media innovation across media channels and ad tech. To support this transformation, we are seeking a Paid Social Activation Manager who will be supporting Microsoft’s in-house, quick turn, paid social campaign activation. Are you a marketer who is passionate about bringing paid social strategy to life and delivering on the required business results through world class paid social activation, data driven optimizations, and reporting & insights? In this role, you will execute on paid media strategy with hands-on-keys activation in native publisher platforms and via tools like Sprinklr. The ideal candidate has hands on experience building, launching, optimizing, and reporting on paid social campaigns across all major social publisher platforms, including Meta, X, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. They must have a growth mindset, be able to adapt to change, and be eager to innovate at the intersection of media, data, and technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Bringing high profile, business critical, quick turn campaigns to life through hands-on paid social activation, optimization, and reporting.
  • Actively monitoring campaigns for optimization opportunities across platforms, creative sets, audience segments, and bidding strategies.
  • Informing and contributing to continual paid media operations and process improvements to ensure Microsoft’s in-house media activation remains agile and consistently delivers on the required business outcomes and campaign KPIs.
  • Leveraging analytics to identify trends and learnings across audiences, placements, channels, ad sets/variants, and any additional variables that could impact campaign performance.
  • Providing Paid Media operational support related to intake and triage as well other critical areas.
  • Proving agile, responsive, collaborative, and transparent communications internally and with internal and external business partners.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on-keys paid social activation experience, preferably within an agency environment
  • Thorough understanding of how to use native platform audience planning tools & suite of ad products including: Meta, X, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, and TikTok
  • Consistent track record of strong external partner and internal team relationships and communications
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, etc. are a plus
  • Appetite for working in a dynamic, changing environment across many different teams and audience segments
  • Sprinklr experience a plus
  • College BA/BS or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working in B2B Marketing and/or Media.
  • Proven competency working across diverse teams with varied business goals.
  • Able to work across a highly matrixed organization that includes internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and continued change.
