We're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated, Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Wellington working part-time. About the role: Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day. Community Rehabilitation Services: Provide rehabilitation and support to individuals within their community; Work within a multi-disciplinary team to help clients achieve their rehab goals; Knowledge of community services pathways. Concussion Service: Skilled in assessing and treating concussion and mild to moderate traumatic brain injury; Experience in assessing and treating cervical spine, vestibular, oculomotor systems; Collaborative approach with GPs, specialists and the wider multi-disciplinary team. Training For Independence (TI): Able to deliver individual community rehabilitation programmes focussed on independence and function; Skilled in delivering home and community-based functional rehabilitation; Ability to co-ordinate and collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team. Social Rehabilitation Needs Assessment (SRNA): Skilled in functional needs assessments and service recommendations to support independence; Strong understanding of ACC service entitlements and linking clients to appropriate supports; Experience writing high-quality reports and justifying clinical reasoning. Requirements
At least 2 years experience working in paediatrics
High-level clinical reasoning and adaptability across a spectrum of client needs
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Proven ability to deliver client-centred rehabilitation in community
Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and stakeholders
Delivering ACC contracts and private work – knowledge and/or experience desired
