Job Description:

Performs traffic management cargo handling duties. Operates general and special purpose vehicles, materials handling equipment and cranes. Transports, handles and processes cargo for transportation modes. Loads/offloads 463L pallets, containers and trucks. Ensures compliance with the applicable USAF mandatory requirements. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepares freight offered for shipment to include packing, crating, weighing, marking, labeling and documenting cargo
  • Prepares and handles cargo in accordance with all prescribed regulations, instructions, technical orders and procedures
  • Prepares with limited assistance all required shipping documents for all cargo offered for transportation
  • Assists in maintaining WRM and operational stock levels of all 463L assets
  • Loads/offloads all 463L pallets, containers and trucks in a timely manner
  • Inventories and inspects all incoming freight for damage prior to acceptance
  • Inventory, document, and load outbound freight into containers, and/or load cargo onto trucks
  • May use automated computer systems and programs to process and document all freight
  • Operates and positions Material Handling Equipment (MHE), wide body loaders and cranes to load/offload trucks, containers and pallets
  • Safely transports explosives from storage facilities to flight line explosive parking marshaling areas
  • Maintain publications, forms, and files required for traffic management and air terminal operations
  • May operate computers, printers, and fax machines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a beginner level
  • Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host nation driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Nice to have:

  • Experience supervising a diverse international workforce
  • Previous experience in logistics/shipping field
  • Familiarity with Supply, TMO and air cargo documentation
