Packer

• Prepare cardboard cartons/trays for product packing by folding, taping, sorting, and labeling
• Perform visual inspections of final product packaging for integrity
• Fill cartons/displays based on packaging specs
• Stack cartons/trays on pallets using correct pattern
• Clear loose product and discard defective items
• Assist with product rework
• Adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines
• Keep work area clean and adhere to 5S protocols
• Store packaging supplies
• Remove trash
• Perform sanitation tasks as directed
• Prepare line for startup and assist with equipment changeovers
• May operate tray making and/or stapling machines
• Report issues to appropriate personnel
• May perform other duties as required

• High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Physical ability to perform tasks including continuous standing, bending, pulling, pushing, using hands, hand dexterity, repetitive twisting, and lifting up to 25 lbs continuously and up to 50 lbs occasionally
