Join the Magnesita Refractories Co team as a Production Operations specialist, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our surface finishing processes. Job Responsibility:
Follow all Department SOP’s and JSA’s
Report any near miss, damage, safety concern or injury utilizing the safety tracking system
Safely maintain a consistent rate of production by achieving reasonable expectations
Follow all Department and Company policies and procedures
Ability to set-up, operate and troubleshoot complicated Automation programs and robotic equipment
Will be required to efficiently and safely operate a sit-down forklift
Must be able to operate all production lines within the Packaging Department (cross trained)
Check all equipment daily for safe operations. Report equipment problems to Maintenance and/or Supervisor
Maintain quality expectations at all Packaging areas
Must ensure proper housekeeping at all Packaging areas
Willingness to help the team overcome obstacles
Able to handle and pack bricks repetitively by hand at various workstations for a 12-hour period
Maintain accurate production records
Works overtime as needed to meet production demand
Requirements:
Effective and open communication with all team members (team player)
Good basic mathematical skills
Mechanically inclined
Computer knowledge, to be trained in Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail, SAP and MII
Job requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and climbing ladders or stairs, lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, and wearing all personal protective equipment required to do the job (including hard hat, foam sealed safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves)
Ability to work in a variety of working conditions including, but not limited to heat, cold, dust, noise, elevations and confined spaces
Accuracy of paperwork, data entries, shift data, computerized work time entry, SPC, etc
Ability to manage time effectively in order to maintain a consistent work schedule
Positive attitude, motivated and ability to work with limited supervision
Willing to continually improve upon personal skills and process improvement within the department
Ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
Ability to rationalize priorities according to production need
