Join Our Dynamic Onsite Packaging Team at IPL Sittingbourne! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Team Leader to become a vital part of our onsite Packaging Team at our Fresh Produce packing facility in Sittingbourne. If you are passionate and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Liaise with necessary colleagues / category teams in order to procure all the necessary packaging to allow continuous supply of product to the customer
  • Ensure all packaging stocks are controlled and quantities are held between an agreed minimum / maximum stock level
  • Ensure that the Packaging store maintains its requirements from a food safety & BRC view around not just packaging, but also other items managed by the Packaging teams
  • Develop supplier relationships with a view to comparing and reducing prices through purchasing smarter
  • Responsible for arranging delivery and receipt of all packaging items
  • Responsible to maintain stock on site and at suppliers to be in line with 12 weeks agreed stock level with Asda to ensure stock write off is to a minimum
  • Lead the packaging team to ensure excellent service to operations teams

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in the FMCG environment
  • Experience in Material Planning
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience of working to KPI’s
  • Educated to GCSE standard including English and Maths
  • Computer Literate with intermediate Excel knowledge as well as Word and Windows
  • Excellent telephone manner and effectively communicate on all levels both internal and external
  • Attention to detail – numerically and logically
  • Auditing, Negotiation and Organisational skills
