Packaging operator

• Setting up, running, and adjusting packaging machines to ensure optimal performance
• Reading job tickets to determine specific machine adjustments and material requirements for each run
• Setting stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales, rules, or templates
• Monitoring machines during operation for any defects or malfunctions to prevent downtime
• Inspecting finished goods for quality defects to ensure they meet company and SQF requirements
• Performing basic troubleshooting and making necessary adjustments to equipment
• Assisting coworkers with machine setup, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished products
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace, including cleaning equipment with alcohol
• Complying strictly with all safety, GMP, and food safety requirements within your scope of work

• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup and basic troubleshooting
• Excellent attention to detail for inspecting finished goods and identifying defects
• Proficiency in basic mathematics, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals for measurements
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with the production team
• Problem-solving skills to address issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented Manufacturing & Logistics environment
• Reliable transportation as the role is not on a direct bus route
• 1–2 years of experience in a production or packaging role
• Physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs safely
• Comfort working in a GMP environment requiring specific PPE (lab coats, hairnets, etc.)
• Willingness to work with alcohol for cleaning and sanitation purposes
• Adherence to a no-jewelry policy on the production floor for safety and compliance
• Reliability and a strong work ethic to meet daily production targets

Food industry experience is a major asset

• Pay starting at $18/hr
• Consistent daytime schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am – 3 pm
