Responsible for labeling, inspecting, and packaging final container products using manual and/or automated packaging systems. This role involves operating packaging equipment, data entry, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate production records. Tasks may include placing labels, operating small production equipment, and setting up and operating labeling and packaging equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Label, inspect, and package final container products
Operate equipment to package materials or products into containers
Perform additional packaging tasks such as labeling, counting, and sorting items, and forming or breaking down boxes
Set up, change over, and operate labeling and packaging equipment
Enter data and imprint computer-generated labels
Perform or assist in final document checks for completeness and accuracy
Troubleshoot and resolve complex packaging operation issues
Follow standard manufacturing and operating procedures (SMP and SOP) for equipment setup, cleanup, and documentation
Communicate effectively within the manufacturing team about product or process status between shifts
Move materials from storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment
Maintain accurate production records, including logs, batch history, and work order information
Conduct minor equipment repairs and resolve equipment problems
Support lead and/or supervisor as needed
Provide training for new procedures and support special projects
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), housekeeping policies, and safety procedures
Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Experience with labeling, inspecting, and packaging in a manufacturing environment
Experience with operating packaging equipment and performing minor repairs
Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate production records
Experience with GMP, housekeeping, and safety policies
Ability to operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment
Strong communication skills within the manufacturing team
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records
Independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem-solving
Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Basic computer skills for data entry and label imprinting
Ability to follow standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP)
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Physical ability to perform packaging tasks, operate equipment, and handle materials
Willingness to follow safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
