The role involves handling materials, packaging products, maintaining production records, and ensuring final product quality within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The candidate must follow safety policies and be capable of operating various production equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Move materials from storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment, including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies
Package final products into end-user containers per approved Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Maintain accurate logs following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Set-up, operate, and clean production equipment such as weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), and bagging equipment (SpeeDee & All-Fills)
Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, humidity, RPMs)
Keep accurate production records, including operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, and work order information
Ensure final product weight is within specified tolerance
Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot, and solve problems in setup, operations, and processes
Maintain neat, accurate, and complete records and logs
Follow all BD and DCM safety policies and procedures
Work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
Perform other duties as required by DCM operations
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, and/or warehouse environment
Material handling and packaging
Operation and cleaning of production equipment
Monitoring and maintaining production records
Independent judgment and problem-solving
Adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials
High school graduate or equivalent
Capable of performing heavy lifting/handling during a 10-hour shift (1-5 lb. - 70%
5-25 lbs. - 30%)
Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs 50% to 95% of the workday
Capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test
