The Packaging Technician will perform tasks in a laboratory environment involving liquid dispensing and packaging operations. The role requires attention to detail, proficiency in handling laboratory instruments, and the ability to meet production objectives while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
Perform liquid dispensing, labeling, and packaging of reagents and antibodies using lab instruments such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances
Learn and operate packaging processes, including vial filling, inventory management, labeling equipment, and SAP system input
Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards and following safety protocols
Manage and organize packaging supplies, materials, and technical documentation preparation
Ensure accurate documentation of manufacturing activities and compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Participate in safety initiatives, report hazards, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Support shift meetings, adhere to departmental guidelines, and perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months of relevant industry work experience
Experience with laboratory equipment such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances
Familiarity with SAP or similar production/manufacturing database systems
Ability to calculate fill volumes and work with the metric system
High school diploma or GED required
A science or manufacturing background is essential
Must be able to follow safety protocols and wear PPE as required (lab coat, gloves, goggles, etc.)
Familiarity with general business software and basic computer skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts and overtime when needed
