The Packaging Technician is responsible for the manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products in a laboratory/production environment. The role ensures compliance with quality standards, documentation requirements, and safety policies while handling lab instruments, preparing materials, and supporting departmental objectives within Biosciences.
Job Responsibility:
Perform finished product packaging as per customer, internal, clinical, and regulatory requirements
Inspect in-process packaging and components for quality, removing defective products
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of manufacturing activities, including device history records and inventory counts
Operate lab instruments such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances
Input packaging data in SAP and other Manufacturing Resource database systems
Support label creation, packaging supplies management, and material staging
Perform routine cleaning of packaging stations and processing equipment
Work on assigned packaging orders
Assist in batch record completion and inventory counting activities
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months of industry work experience in a relevant field
Experience with liquid dispense/packaging equipment, such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances
Prior exposure to manufacturing, science, or laboratory environments
Familiarity with basic mathematical calculations and the metric system
Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a team environment
Self-motivated with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient at learning new tasks and methods quickly
Knowledge of packaging processes, bottling techniques, and labeling procedures
