Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Job Responsibility

Reads production schedule and plans accordingly
Efficiently maintains the operation of packaging machinery by monitoring codes, dates and prices
Maintains an adequate supply of roll stock and ensures all packaging materials available for each machine
Adjusts machine micro logic set-up as needed to maintain an efficient and low waste operation
Understands and demonstrates the necessary skills involved to efficiently operate packaging equipment
Properly plans ahead for machine changeovers and efficiently changing from one product item to another
Monitors and adjusts each machine to ensure proper cut off of film and bags have proper end seals and back seals as required
Ensures machines are running at standard speeds
Monitors and checks weights and product appearance as required
Properly accounts for product run off and handles this product accordingly

Requirements

Understands operating equipment that has moving parts and must ensure safety and quality always comes first
Must adhere to proper operating procedures for the equipment
Must be able to communicate
Must have basic math skills ( add, subtract, multiply and divide)

Job Responsibility

Responsible for operating equipment used in the packaging of food products in a safe, timely, and efficient manner
Understand and demonstrates the handling of machinery components and proper lubrication of machinery
Required to understand and demonstrate the adjustments on the machine and the components used
Understand the quality output from the machine and does it conform to the quality standards
Does the product have a good seal, legible and accurate print?
Must ensure that GMPs and safety regulations are followed at all times
Report any deviations to product quality, machinery, or standards to appropriate level of supervision
Understands and demonstrates changeover and sanitation requirements
Produce desired product from equipment as Production Line demands
Ensure that product conforms to specifications

Requirements

Must possess a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Stand for extended periods of time
Use hands, fingers and arms to reach, feel product and manipulate materials and equipment
Walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
Ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads on wheeled dollies
Ability to deal with a changing work environment and high-pressure situations
Must be able to work in a team environment

Job Responsibility

Sets up and operates Bagger and Kwik-lok machines, making necessary adjustments to keep the line running well
Cases product into baskets or cases, keeping up with line speed
Monitors bags for clarity
Checks bread and packaging quality, including wrapping and bagging
Must understand code board
Racking and unracking bread as needed
General cleaning of area assigned
May be called upon to assist other positions during operation and other duties as requested
Feeds bread into Slicers at an approximate rate of 55 loaves per minute
Continuously monitors the size, quality and weight of bread, reporting any variances to Supervision
