Packaging & Logistics Specialist

• Act as the single point of accountability for the interpretation, implementation, and assurance of project packing specifications
• Review and approve supplier packing proposals, ensuring suitability for transport modes and compliance with lifting and handling requirements
• Conduct supplier visits and shopfloor inspections to verify packing standards and enforce compliance
• Provide subject matter expertise on packing of large mechanical and electrical equipment and ensure appropriate packaging category selection
• Liaise closely with logistics teams, procurement, and engineering to embed requirements into supplier agreements
• Ensure full compliance with export controls, hazardous materials regulations, and oversee despatch documentation

• Logistics Expertise: Extensive experience in logistics, packing, and transportation within the oil & gas or heavy engineering sector
• Packing Knowledge: Proven expertise in packing heavy, complex, and high-value equipment
• International Shipping: Strong knowledge of customs compliance frameworks and international shipping
• Multimodal Transportation: Familiarity with multimodal transportation and abnormal load handling
• Preservation Techniques: Understanding of preservation, corrosion protection, and long-term storage requirements
• Inspection Experience: Experience conducting supplier inspections and audits
• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years in logistics or packaging roles within the oil & gas sector

Certifications: Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous
