Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with our client, a Fortune 500 consumer technology company, in the search for a Packaging Designer to support the development and execution of packaging artwork across a portfolio of innovative hardware products.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and prepare production-ready packaging artwork for product cartons, labels, inserts, documentation, and other packaging components
  • Execute packaging layouts, typography, imagery placement, dielines, and print specifications with a high degree of accuracy
  • Manage packaging deliverables across multiple product SKUs, accessory configurations, and regional packaging variations
  • Partner with designers to ensure final artwork aligns with established brand standards, packaging systems, and product presentation requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to ensure packaging files meet production and operational specifications
  • Review and validate artwork for production readiness, including color accuracy, regulatory content, imagery, typography, and dieline integrity
  • Coordinate packaging revisions and updates throughout the product development lifecycle while maintaining accurate version control and documentation
  • Support production reviews with print vendors and manufacturing partners, helping resolve artwork, print, and packaging-related issues
  • Maintain organized packaging templates, artwork libraries, and documentation standards to support efficient global collaboration
  • Ensure packaging deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with product launch timelines

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in packaging production design, packaging artwork development, or graphic production supporting physical products
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, as well as Figma
  • Extensive experience preparing artwork for print production, including packaging layouts, dielines, print specifications, and manufacturing-ready files
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex product launches involving multiple SKUs, packaging configurations, and revisions
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, and program management
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting consumer electronics, hardware products, or other highly regulated physical product categories
  • Familiarity with packaging manufacturing processes, print production workflows, and vendor management
  • Experience managing packaging requirements across multiple global markets and regional variations
