Job Description

The Packaging and License Management Engineer role at NTT DATA involves managing software licenses and automating deployment processes for Microsoft and Adobe applications.

Job Responsibility

  • Package, test, and deploy Microsoft and Adobe applications across enterprise environments using standardized packaging and deployment processes
  • Manage and maintain software licenses for Microsoft and Adobe products, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and optimizing license utilization
  • Monitor software usage and generate reports to support internal audits, compliance reviews, and software asset management (SAM) activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application packaging, deployment, and installation issues across managed devices
  • Automate deployment and patch management processes using tools such as SCCM, Intune, and PowerShell
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage license renewals, resolve licensing issues, and escalate technical or contractual concerns when required
  • Maintain and improve documentation related to packaging standards, deployment procedures, and license management processes
  • Support the enterprise application lifecycle, including testing, updates, patching, and retirement of applications
  • Ensure applications meet enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards before deployment
  • Participate in on-call rotations and out-of-hours support for live streaming events and critical service incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in application packaging and software license management within enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with application packaging and deployment tools such as SCCM, Microsoft Intune, MSI, and App-V
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft and Adobe licensing models and licensing portals
  • Experience with software asset management (SAM), compliance audits, and license optimization practices
  • Knowledge of automated deployment, patch management, and PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar certification is advantageous
  • Adobe Certified Professional certification is a plus

  • Prepare designs, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems on Transmission Overhead - Lines such as line surge arresters, line disconnect switches, lightening protection, circuit to circuit separation
