Job Description:

We are looking for an eager, detail-oriented individual to join our team as the final link in our manufacturing chain! If you are looking for a role where your attention to detail ensures our products reach customers safely and perfectly labeled, this is the position for you. You will manage the end-of-line process, operating specialized labeling and packaging machinery while maintaining strict food safety documentation. You get hands-on experience with PLC controls and industrial printing technology in a clean, organized food manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone with a methodical mindset, comfort with technology, and the physical ability to handle pallets and packaging materials in a fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Careful and safe handling of packaging materials
  • Check lot codes, and dates on materials
  • Ensure the correct rotation of materials on a first in first out basis
  • Setup of work station with all documentation, items and utensils required
  • Follow the daily production schedule to meet production output, communicating effectively with the Shift Leader, SP Room Operator and Warehouse
  • Set up the case erector, fit tape magazines, and load boxes. Prepare your workstation with all necessary documentation and utensils.
  • Set up Domino label printers, change ribbons/settings as required, and operate PLC control panels for conveyors and boxing machines.
  • Take and record product temperatures, validate batch numbers/timings to ensure Critical Control Points (CCP) are met, and use NAV software to print pallet identification labels.
  • Stack pallets in correct formations, strap for stability, and use a shrink wrapper and walkie truck to move completed pallets to the warehouse.
  • Follow HACCP and GMP guidelines for product changeovers and "deep cleans." Safely handle cleaning chemicals and use all required PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with Shift Leaders and the warehouse team, providing a full handover at the end of your shift.

Requirements:

  • Detail-Oriented: Crucial for verifying timings, labels, and quality documentation.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers for data entry and operating automated machinery.
  • Fast-Paced Capability: Ability to remain organized and efficient in a high-output manufacturing environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift.
  • Communication: Strong English skills (written and verbal) for effective shift handovers and coordination with the Warehouse and Shift Leaders.
  • Experience: Previous food manufacturing or packaging experience is an asset, but we are willing to train candidates with a methodical work ethic.
