Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced P6 Planner to support a major defence programme with BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile programme with a leading defence organisation on a long-term contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Monitor progress against programme milestones and report on performance
  • Work closely with project teams to identify risks, delays, and recovery plans
  • Provide regular planning updates and reports to key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner using Primavera P6
  • Experience working on large-scale engineering, infrastructure, defence, or nuclear programmes
  • Strong understanding of schedule development, critical path analysis, and earned value management
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and technical teams
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working within defence, shipbuilding, aerospace, or complex manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of risk management and schedule assurance

Nice to have:

Previous experience working with BAE Systems or other major defence contractors would be an advantage
