We are seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to support major nuclear projects in an Owner’s Engineer capacity at Bruce Power. This role will act as the technical representative of the client, providing oversight and assurance across engineering, design, and project execution activities within a highly regulated nuclear environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, supporting refurbishment, maintenance, and capital program delivery at one of Canada’s leading nuclear facilities.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the Owner’s Engineer representative for mechanical or electrical scope areas
Review and provide technical oversight of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications
Ensure contractor deliverables meet nuclear codes, standards, and client requirements
Interface with internal stakeholders, vendors, and EPC contractors to resolve technical issues
Support project phases including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical evaluations
Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations
Support field activities including inspections, walkdowns, and commissioning support
Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, regulatory, and QA requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5–10 years of experience in the nuclear industry
Experience working within Canadian nuclear facilities or similar regulated environments
Strong understanding of engineering design review and project execution
Nice to have:
Previous Owner’s Engineer experience, particularly at Bruce Power
Experience supporting refurbishment, outages, or capital projects in nuclear
Familiarity with nuclear QA programs, CSA standards, and regulatory requirements
