High School Diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of progressive work experience as a Security Guard with the acquired knowledge at the level of a Shuttle Driver
OR 1-3 years of progressive work experience as a Security Guard with acquired knowledge at the level of a Shuttle Driver
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
Knowledge of security measures, techniques, and precautions necessary to maintain a safe and secure institution
Ability to enforce rules in a professional manner
Skilled at using de-escalation techniques
Knowledge of facility policies and procedures
Must be able to work an overnight shift of eight (8) hours, beginning at 10:00 pm and ending at 6:30 am

Job Responsibility

Perform security-related tasks to provide a safe and secure environment for residents and staff
Performs operation audits on fire extinguishers throughout the building
Secures the building by ensuring doors and windows are closed and locked when appropriate
Provide surveillance to ensure no unauthorized individuals and/or vehicles are in the building or on the grounds
Performs light maintenance duties (i.e., change light bulbs, paint touch-up, etc.)
Performs light housekeeping duties (i.e., spot mopping, sanitizing surfaces, etc.)
Assists night staff with answering phones, gathering residents, and performing other non-clinical tasks
