Job Description:

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Overnight Receptionist in McLean, Virginia. This role involves front desk duties within the industry. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for the organization and will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations. You will be on-call overnight on the weekdays and weekends when needed between 11 PM to 7 AM but may vary.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel
  • welcome visitors by greeting them professionally and courteously, in person or on the telephone
  • ensure efficient communication by accurately taking and delivering messages
  • keep a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • handle multiple lines, transferring calls as necessary
  • maintain customer trust by keeping client interactions confidential
  • utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers' expectations
  • ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures).

Requirements:

  • Possess at least one year of experience in a receptionist role or similar position
  • proven experience with receptionist duties including managing phone calls and customer service
  • prior experience in a part-time receptionist role beneficial
  • proficiency in answering inbound calls in a professional and timely manner
  • demonstrated ability to handle inquiries, providing accurate information to customers
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • proficiency in using office equipment, including printers and fax machines
  • ability to maintain a neat and organized reception area
  • knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • must be willing to work night shift
  • must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

Prior experience in a part-time receptionist role beneficial
