Job Description

The Overhead Line Site Engineer will act as the client’s representative on site, responsible for supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines for high-voltage transmission line projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise contractor activities for OHL construction (tower erection, stringing, foundations)
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Review and approve materials delivered to site
  • Enforce HSE policies and ensure adherence to client and Kahramaa standards
  • Coordinate with utilities and authorities for permits and approvals
  • Review survey data, as-built drawings, and construction documentation
  • Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, and test documentation
  • Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress reports
  • Certify contractor progress and validate monthly invoices
  • Ensure timely completion of works in line with project schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 8–15 years’ experience in HV transmission line projects
  • Strong experience in OHL construction (132kV – 400kV or higher)
  • QA/QC and site supervision
  • Mandatory: Experience with Kahramaa standards
  • Strong reporting and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of stringing operations
