2+ years of experience operating overhead cranes with heavy loads
Certification in Overhead Crane operation
Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
Experience working in the construction industry (considered an asset)
Basic hand and power tool experience (asset)
Experience reading drawings (specifically precast drawings)
Certifications in Forklift considered an asset
Strong work ethic
Punctual
Able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays

Job Responsibility

Operate overhead crane under general supervision
Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism
Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions
Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
Operate crane according to signals from helper
Follow directions carefully
Other duties as required, as the employee will not be working on the crane all day
