Requirements

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Engineering discipline (or allied trade)
Strong mechanical assembly or repair experience within a precision engineering environment
Experience working from engineering drawings, manufacturing process plans and technical documentation
Good understanding of mechanical assemblies and hydraulic systems
Competent using precision measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers and gauges

Job Responsibility

Evaluate, strip, assemble and rebuild aircraft units and sub-assemblies using approved mechanical and electrical techniques
Assemble high-lift units and components in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing process plans, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and Product Acceptance Tests
Carry out functional, acceptance and pressure testing using calibrated test equipment
Record test results accurately and maintain full product traceability through production documentation
Perform dimensional inspection using precision measuring equipment
Diagnose faults and support repair activities throughout the manufacturing and overhaul process
Assess components against engineering requirements and identify any non-conformances
Complete repairs in accordance with aerospace quality standards and approved procedures
Support stock control activities and ensure the correct handling of materials, tooling and equipment
Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment in line with HSE requirements
