Job Description:

As an Outsourcing Associate, you will play a key role in delivering exemplary client service by preparing management accounts and VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will manage approximately 20-30 small to medium-sized clients, including sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies, on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Additionally, you will review the work of junior team members and assist in raising draft invoices for director/partner approval. This role offers a blend of client interaction and technical accounting work, providing a great opportunity to develop your skills and career.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare management accounts and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients
  • Ensure exemplary client service is delivered at all times
  • Review input from junior team members and raise draft invoices for approval
  • Proactively manage client relationships and address their needs
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Requirements:

  • Level 4 AAT qualified and/or already studying towards your ACCA qualification (part-qualified)
  • Experience in preparing VAT returns and management accounts in a practice environment
  • Proficient in using accounts production packages (e.g., Xero, Sage 50 Accounts, QuickBooks) and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage client relationships
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
