Starship has now completed millions of autonomous deliveries to date, traveled millions of miles, and is currently doing more than 140k road crossings each day. Our contribution to society includes reducing congestion, and pollution, providing zero-emissions deliveries, increasing the quality of life for residents, empowering seniors and disabled people, and enabling affordable delivery for local businesses. We’re hitting records on an almost weekly basis. Now is an exciting time to join as we grow rapidly around the world! We're looking for an Outsourcing and Performance Operations Manager to join our Global Remote Operations team. In this role, you’ll transform and elevate our outsourcing operations, building the foundation for scalable, high-quality service delivery across regions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and own performance management frameworks from the ground up, including KPIs, SLAs, quality assurance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives that enable scalable growth
  • Drive operational excellence by translating data into actionable insights, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing structured solutions that elevate service delivery standards
  • Manage commercial relationships with BPO partners, including contract negotiations, renewals, capacity planning, and expansion discussions, in close collaboration with the Legal team on framework development
  • Scale operations strategically, when growth demands it, and lead the establishment of new outsourcing sites by building on existing legal frameworks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, HR, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and operational success across the business
  • Influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership and external partners, championing a high-ownership, execution-focused approach

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in outsourcing operations, vendor management, service delivery, quality management, or operational excellence roles, with a proven track record managing BPOs or external service providers at scale
  • Hands-on experience building and running performance management frameworks, quality assurance, and continuous improvement programs, with strong expertise in defining and tracking KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics
  • Experience owning commercial discussions, including contract negotiation, renewals, and capacity expansions, combined with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated success scaling remote or distributed operations across multiple regions, ideally within fast-growth, transformation, or scale-up environments
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Legal, Finance, HR, Product, and Operations, with strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into action, using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and build processes from scratch, with a high ownership mindset and strong focus on execution
  • Comfortable influencing senior leaders and external partners, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English
What we offer:
  • Opportunity to work on industry-leading self-driving delivery robot technology on a uniquely large scale, creating history and making things happen
  • You can immerse yourself in the world of technology and innovation
  • You will have a chance to work with people with a strong inner burning and motivation. We are self-aware and seek feedback and improvement. We don’t want to wait until we are told what needs to be done but take it as a matter of pride to figure out solutions for topics in various teams and areas
  • You’ll have endless opportunities to learn from our inspirational, talented team members across the globe
