Job Description:

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation is looking for an Outside Sales Representative based out of San Antonio, TX to grow sales in our San Antonio region. If you have an excellent customer service mentality, then this position is perfect for you. To succeed as an Outside Sales Representative, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in selling our products, meeting our customer's needs, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading sales efforts, business development, strengthening relationships and securing new business for the Company
  • Articulate to both business and technical users how our technology, products and services can best meet our customers' needs
  • Draft quotes and proposals to help win business for the Company
  • Utilizing the Eagle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and Contact Relationship Management (CRM) systems effectively to track leads, produce quotes, and convert quotes to sales orders
  • Frequent open communication with the VP of Sales, Operations Manager, inside sales, and the rest of the Eagle team

Requirements:

  • Proven outside sales success with 3+ years of experience (Technical sales preferred)
  • Proven success at securing new accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and disciplined
  • Team player
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to travel out of town and/or overnight
  • Must successfully compete pre-employment screening requirements including background check, MVR and drug screen

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with an ERP and CRM system
  • Experience in oil and gas industry, specifically automation and measurement
  • Background of proven technical competence
