We are seeking a highly driven Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of growing and managing sales within our Flow Control portfolio. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a passion for industrial solutions, a deep understanding of flow control technologies, and a proven ability to execute long-term growth strategies through customer engagement and market insight. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving individual sales performance, developing strong relationships with key customers, and translating market intelligence into actionable results. This is a high-impact, high-visibility position with direct influence over business performance.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute a comprehensive 3-to-5-year strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and customer penetration in the Flow Control market segment
Translate the company's acquisition goals into actionable territory and account-level strategies
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging voice of the customer, market dynamics, and competitive landscape insights
Establish, manage, and track short- and long-term sales targets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and growth initiatives
Build and maintain detailed business cases for target markets/customers, including financial expectations, resource requirements, and success metrics
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both existing and targeted strategic customers
Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring frequent and proactive communication, account reviews, and satisfaction follow-up
Partners with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and product management, to ensure tailored solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
Assume full P&L responsibility for assigned accounts or territories within the flow control segment
Deliver a rolling 12-month forecast to finance and operations teams, providing accurate visibility into expected demand and helping guide production and supply chain planning
Regularly report on territory progress, sales activity, pipeline development, and market feedback using CRM tools and business dashboards
Own individual sales targets and exceed quota through disciplined pipeline management, closing strategies, and performance monitoring
Maintain up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of products, services, applications, and technologies within the flow control space
Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform product positioning, sales tactics, and growth strategy
Provide feedback to internal stakeholders regarding product improvements, pricing strategy, and unmet customer needs
Ensure consistent application of sales processes, tools, and cadence for reporting, customer meetings, and opportunity management
Collaborate cross-functionally to support seamless project execution and customer satisfaction from quote to delivery
Participate in sales training, trade shows, and industry events to stay current and represent the company professionally
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field
MBA preferred
5+ years of outside sales or technical sales experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or flow control environments
Demonstrated success in building and growing sales territories, with a focus on solution-based selling
Deep understanding of flow control products, systems, and their applications in key industries (e.g., water, oil & gas, chemical, power, gas, and air)
Strong business acumen with the ability to own and influence P&L performance
Proficient in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and forecasting
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
