Job Description:

Service Care Solutions are proud to be supporting a reputable non-profit organisation in recruiting an experienced Outreach Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol addiction, helping them build healthier, more stable futures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Outreach within the community, trying to speak the hardest to reach service users
  • Engage with individuals in community settings and build trusting relationships
  • Provide harm reduction advice and support, including overdose awareness (e.g. use of Naloxone)
  • Carry out basic assessments of need and risk
  • Support access to treatment, healthcare, housing, and other services
  • Offer practical and emotional support in a non-judgemental way

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the Substance Misuse or Recovery field
  • Strong understanding of drug and alcohol-related issues
  • Experience in key working, care planning, and caseload management
  • Ability to engage individuals with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills
  • Enhanced DBS
