Job Description:

At Prosperity Children’s Services we provide care for vulnerable children and young people across the Lancashire and Greater Manchester area. Our children and young people receive support from a small team of incredible Registered Managers and Support Workers who strive to engage, motivate, and instill confidence and life skills aiming for the best possible outcomes for them.

Job Responsibility:

  • Bed watching in a hospital
  • Secure transport
  • Supporting children and young people in their own homes
  • May be called upon at short notice to support a child in need
  • Deliver therapeutic model to support and care for children
  • Safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of all children and young people in our care
  • Work alongside other support workers and instill motivation to the young people
  • Record keeping and report writing
  • Verbally reporting

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Must undertake Crisis prevention institute training
  • Experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviors including mental health and behavioral problems
  • Able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and nights
  • Hold experience of looking after children with emotional, behavioral, or mental health conditions
  • Good communication skills
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Ability to problem-solve, de-escalate, and divert attention
