Job Description:

At Prosperity Children’s Services we provide care for vulnerable children and young people across the Lancashire and Greater Manchester area. Our children and young people receive support from a small team of incredible Registered Managers and Support Workers who strive to engage, motivate, and instill confidence and life skills aiming for the best possible outcomes for them.

Job Responsibility:

Bed watching in a hospital
Secure transport
Supporting children and young people in their own homes
May be called upon at short notice to support a child in need
Deliver therapeutic model to support and care for children
Safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of all children and young people in our care
Work alongside other support workers and instill motivation to the young people
Record keeping and report writing
Verbally reporting

Requirements:

Full UK Driving License
Must undertake Crisis prevention institute training
Experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviors including mental health and behavioral problems
Able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and nights
Hold experience of looking after children with emotional, behavioral, or mental health conditions
Good communication skills
Good written and verbal skills
Ability to problem-solve, de-escalate, and divert attention
