Are you passionate about removing barriers to Higher Education? Join our team at a leading University to drive HE progression for students from groups underrepresented in university study. This critical role focuses on students aged 16-18 (Years 12-13) and requires an innovative, experienced professional to manage and expand a vital portfolio of school and college partnerships. You will be responsible for developing, supporting, and delivering high-impact widening participation projects and outreach interventions aligned with the student lifecycle. Your work will directly enable young people to develop essential skills, deepen their understanding of HE, and successfully transition to university.
Job Responsibility:
Partnership Management: Establish and manage a portfolio of partnerships with schools, colleges, and training providers, actively seeking opportunities to meet outreach targets
Programme Delivery: Coordinate the development and delivery of high-quality curriculum, subject-based, and skills content through interventions like taster days and long-term projects
Project & Event Coordination: Manage multiple projects, including preparing project plans and budgets, and event-managing all activities (e.g., room bookings, coordinating staff, student ambassadors, and resources)
Compliance & Evaluation: Ensure robust systems for safe learning environments, including risk assessments and child safeguarding. Plan, carry out, and analyse data for the evaluation of all activity
Strategy & Reporting: Contribute to funding bids/proposals, analyse relevant data to inform work, and produce regular reports for the University and external organisations
Requirements:
Knowledge of widening participation and the barriers that prevent people from progressing to higher education
Experience working with Post-16 students (Aged 16+) in an educational or community setting
Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering, and monitoring outreach projects and presentations for young people
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with diverse stakeholders
