Job Description:

Help Older Adults Feel Seen, Supported, and Connected. Later stages of life can bring profound transitions — loss, health changes, shifting identities, and new family dynamics. Too often, older adults and their families navigate these experiences without the emotional support they deserve. At Ellie Mental Health – Clinton Township, we believe aging should be met with compassion, dignity, and meaningful connection. We are seeking a therapist who feels called to support older adults and their families through life’s transitions while helping them build resilience, purpose, and emotional wellbeing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide therapy primarily to older adults
  • Support families and caregivers
  • Conduct assessments and treatment planning
  • Provide grief and life transition support
  • Collaborate with care teams
  • Participate in occasional outreach

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
  • Active LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, or LPC license in Michigan
  • Passion for and experience working with older adults and families
  • Strong empathy and relational presence
  • Experience with grief or life transitions preferred
  • Strong documentation skills and professional boundaries
