Outpatient Pharmacy Technician I

• Assists the pharmacist in completing medication orders and the preparation of medications for patient use according to established procedures
• Assists in the distribution of medications which may include bedside delivery and mail order procedures
• Performs computer order entry, record keeping, ordering, and billing functions
• Maintains inventory levels
• Supports clinical patient outreach/Medication Therapy Management services
• Performs other assigned operational and administrative duties as needed

• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations
• Ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines
• Computer experience and accurate data entry skills
• Detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information
• Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment and function effectively in a high-volume, multiple demand environment
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences
• Ability to be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision
