Job Description:

Outpatient Nurse Manager for a brand new state-of-the-art hospital in Oxford. This is a senior managerial role providing day-to-day leadership and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The role involves overseeing the outpatient suite, including consultations, diagnostics, treatment, and phlebotomy service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide clinical and managerial leadership to outpatient nursing services
  • Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across multiple specialties
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage a multidisciplinary team
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, training, and appraisals
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Maintain compliance with CQC standards, governance, and safety frameworks
  • Drive service improvements through audits, quality assurance, and innovation
  • Act as key liaison with clinicians, patients, families, and stakeholders
  • Support strategic planning, business development, and service expansion

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior nursing or clinical management role
  • Experienced working within an outpatient setting
  • Previous experience implementing new services and/or new patient pathways in an outpatient setting will be highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety
  • Experience of CQC inspections and/or readiness
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, coach and develop others
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and business development will be advantageous
