Responsible for bar/lounge daily shift operations and supervision of staff at Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino. Position assists with promoting the lounge, menu planning, maintains standards, assists servers on the floor during peak periods and manages property liquor inventories and controls. Strives to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
Job Responsibility:
Manage bar/lounge daily shift operations and supervise staff

Enforce all legal obligations professionally and consistently
Determine training needs and implement plans
Strengthen food and beverage team by assisting in other outlets when needed
Implement beverage policies and procedures
Monitor adherence to liquor control policies
Attend pre- and post-convention meetings
Participate in management of department's controllable expenses
Maintain food handling and sanitation standards
Train staff on liquor control policies
Supervise staffing levels
Provide excellent customer service
Obtain guest feedback
Respond to guest problems and complaints
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
Knowledge of beverage control including days on hand, perpetual inventory, bar pars, portion control, costs controls
Understanding of liquor control policies and procedures
Ability to comprehend budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports
Experience managing controllable expenses to achieve budgeted goals
