Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the instruction of environmental education and conference groups, including teaching, belaying (will train), boating, etc. for school and community groups
  • Assisting with curriculum development and planning, and acting as host for school/conference groups (no direct overnight supervision responsibilities)
  • Provide community outreach and programs through YMCA Milwaukee programs, as well as engagement with campers through year-round school programs
  • Must exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of work with the YMCA

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, and at least 18 years old
  • CPR, First Aid (required)
  • Possess a basic knowledge of the outdoors

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or previous camp experience/knowledge preferred
  • Lifeguard certification preferred (will train)
