The OTR (Over-the-Road) Truck Driver safety drives and operates commercial trucks and trailers to pick up and deliver equipment. The OTR Truck Driver also maintains assigned trucks in good operating condition, as well as works with management to plan routes and track deliveries.
Job Responsibility:

Performs complete pre/post trip inspections
Drives the truck long distances to pick up/deliver equipment
Loads/unloads trailers performing lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying freight
Keeps truck and equipment in safe, operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections
Maintains driver’s hours-of-service by using Telogis and/or paper logbook reporting
Tracks hours-of-service (HOS) to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
Completes work tickets for jobs legibly, timely, and with detailed description of daily activity
Adheres to all DOT rules and regulations and all job-related Company, state, and federal requirements
Stays current on safety techniques and takes advantage of opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
Hooks/unhooks trailers, secures freight, installs/removes tire chains as required by weather, tarps/un-tarps freight when operating flatbeds
Completes all monthly safety and equipment-related trainings
Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safety policies
Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
High School or GED equivalent, some college preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age and able to maintain insurability with Company insurance
Must have a least one year of previous driving experience
Requires strong sense of direction, as well as the ability to travel long distances with overnight stays often required
Ability to lift 50+ pounds required
Ability to read, write, and speak English to the extent they understand verbal and written instruction in English
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management

Winch knowledge and repair on rig up truck is a plus
