The OT Security Analyst is responsible for overseeing operational technology systems, device inventories, and related cybersecurity controls across a diverse portfolio of properties. This role focuses on safeguarding smart‑building technologies, lighting controls, parking systems, and core building management systems (BMS).
Job Responsibility:
Operational Technology (OT) Asset & Inventory Management: Support the development and execution of an OT asset management program
Maintain accurate tracking of hardware, software, firmware versions, and lifecycle status
Identify unauthorized devices or applications and coordinate remediation to ensure only approved assets operate within the environment
Oversee and optimize OT discovery tools and integrations with configuration management databases (CMDBs)
Cybersecurity Governance & Risk Management: Evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with OT systems, including those introduced by external vendors, contractors, or third‑party service providers
Participate in OT risk assessments to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts on critical operations
Contribute to the refinement of security procedures, policies, user‑access workflows, and MFA requirements
Network Architecture & Segmentation: Collaborate with technical teams to design and review network segmentation approaches, including micro segmentation and isolation of OT networks from IT environments
Assist in documenting security controls and supporting materials for network and infrastructure teams
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, engineering partners, and operations personnel to ensure alignment between security requirements and operational needs
Help drive continuous improvements in OT security posture and system documentation
Requirements:
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and standards relevant to operational technology environments
Understanding of OT‑specific attack vectors, including threats such as ransomware and supply‑chain risks targeting industrial systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical subjects to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Experience with IT service management (ITSM) or asset‑management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice)
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including IT, operations, and external engineering partners
