We are seeking an accomplished Communications OT Support Technician - L2 to join our mining client Operational Technology Team based in South Australia. The role involves a FIFO (fly-in/fly-out) arrangement from Adelaide, with 08 days on-site followed by 06 days off. Site based in South Australia, FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) – 60 Minutes from Adelaide. Rostered Day/Night Shift for 24/7 operational coverage. 08 on-site followed by 06 days off. You will be expected to install, fault find and maintain production critical systems across the site Operation. These systems are critical to the operation meeting production targets and as such, will be installed and maintained to the highest standard. Primarily, the Operational Technology Team is responsible for the following systems: Voice radio & paging systems; Fleet Management Systems; Mobile fleet safety systems; Machine Automation; Machine Health; Geotechnical seismic/radar monitoring systems; 4G, Microwave, Fibre optic, WIFI and Wired networks; Process Control Networks/SCADA systems; CCTV
Job Responsibility:
Install, fault find and maintain production critical systems across the site Operation
Production Support Work primarily within the main operating areas of the minesite – Underground/Open Pit/Plant
Work a rotating Day/Night shift roster in support of 24/7 operational coverage
Whilst onsite, work a rotating on-call roster for 24/7 support
Inspection of work areas and plants for hazards, damage and defects
Diagnosing faults and breakdowns on production critical equipment
Undertaking repairs or component changeouts as required
Maintenance of production systems
Maintain built/design documentation
Ensuring work procedures are followed
Support the relationship with key business customers relating to Operational Technology systems in order to evaluate system performance and accuracy
Support relationship management of project stakeholders to assist the seamless implementation of new systems and services that satisfy Customer requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 02+ years’ relevant experience is required
Experience supporting OT systems and services within a complimentary industry
Experience with the installation of OT systems and services
Ability to work in a highly effective team – presenting solid interpersonal skills
Sound negotiation and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and requests from the business
Risk identification and management
Analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to identify dependencies between tasks and activities
Client focused approach and experience in customer relationship
Experience with supporting SCADA, Fleet Management or bespoke mining or processing systems
A ‘C’ class drivers’ license (for manual vehicles)
Applicants Must have Full Working Rights in Australia
Nice to have:
Experience in a Fly-in / Fly-out operation
Sound understanding of mining and plant operations
Sound presentation skills
Communications vendor qualifications in fiber optic and copper cabling installation and A.C.M.A. Cabling open license
