This position supports the daily operation and setup of meeting and event spaces by managing audio-visual equipment, coordinating room configurations, and ensuring optimal guest experiences. You'll work as part of a collaborative team to maintain smooth event operations while providing technical support for both in-person and virtual meetings.
Job Responsibility:
Organizing daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh, and removal of equipment for meetings and events
Configuring meeting and training rooms by arranging tables, chairs, and furniture according to specific event designs
Delivering additional meeting equipment such as easels, flip charts, tables, and chairs to various locations
Operating different types of audio-visual equipment for both live and virtual events
Meeting with guests on-site to ensure their needs are met and equipment setup is functioning properly
Attending venue meetings for event planning and coordination purposes
Setting up, tearing down, and occasionally loading and unloading equipment for events
Performing preventative maintenance on equipment to keep it presentable and in good working condition
Participating in physical inventory count processes and ensuring proper security, storage, and transportation of equipment
Requirements:
Experience with audio-visual equipment operation and setup
Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment safely
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required
Physical ability to perform setup, teardown, and equipment transportation tasks
Nice to have:
Previous experience in event setup or hospitality industry
Familiarity with various meeting room technologies and configurations
Experience with inventory management systems
Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures for AV equipment
