Job Description:

BAE Systems is seeking a skilled geospatial open source analyst to perform in-depth research and analysis in support of a government customer.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform in-depth research and analysis in support of a government customer
  • Answer requests for information in a timely manner through provision of both source documentation and summary information
  • Work on projects covering a variety of topics and regions requiring use of a combination of classified and open sources, including commercial databases, open and proprietary/commercial geospatial resources, news and social media sources, and client-based applications
  • Work with customers and/or other geospatial open source analysts to develop and execute research plans
  • Work a rotating shift schedule (typically 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am) for time dominate mission support

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in open source research, all source analysis, or similar role
  • Candidate must be familiar with basic research techniques, database searching, and standard source citations
  • Demonstrated ability to research, synthesize, and organize detailed findings for presentation to customers in multiple formats including Microsoft PowerPoint/Word, PDF, and KML/Shapefile
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and satisfy customer requirements while working under limited supervision
  • Must be able to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • U.S. Person required
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Foreign language expertise
  • Experience with GIS or imagery applications such as ArcGIS or RemoteView
  • Experience using analytic visualization software such as Palantir or Analysts Notebook
